Directions to Germantown Academy Germantown Academy is located on Morris Road in Fort Washington. There are two main entrances to the school, one off Lafayette Ave and one off Morris Road, although the Morris Road entrance is undergoing renovation and might not be open.

Coming north from Chestnut Hill: From the intersection of Germantown Ave. and Bethlehem Pike – Follow Bethlehem Pike about four miles and make a left onto the Lafayette Ave. Connector. If you are going to Admission, Classrooms, Administration or an indoor sporting event, at the next light continue straight into the driveway of Germantown Academy. At the top of the hill, make a left or right, and at the end of the parking lot, make a right and park in one of the Visitor’s parking spaces. The main building is located directly across from the lot. If you are going to the Arts Center or the playing fields, make a right onto Lafayette Ave. (turns into Morris Road). The second driveway on the left is for the Arts Center. The parking lot for the Patriots’ athletic fields can be found on the left side after crossing the small bridge.

Coming from Center City Philadelphia and the Main Line: Take 76 West (Schuylkill Expressway) to 476 North (Blue Route) to exit 20 (it is directly to the right of the PA Turnpike entrance). Stay to the left for the Plymouth Road exit and make a right at the end of the street onto Plymouth Road. At the first traffic light, make a left onto Butler Pike. Follow Butler Pike approximately three miles and make a right at Morris Road. The first entrance to GA is on your right side and it is for parking for the Patriots’ playing fields. The second entrance on your right (after the small bridge) is for the Arts Center. The third entrance on your right is for Admission, Classrooms, Administration and indoor sporting events.

Coming from the PA Turnpike: GA is most easily accessible from the Fort Washington exit of the PA Turnpike (exit 339). After leaving the toll plaza, head straight to the end (the road winds around to the right) and you will be on Pennsylvania Ave. Stay in the left lane and make a left onto Bethlehem Pike (fourth traffic light). Make a right at the next light onto the Lafayette Ave. Connector. If you are going to Admission, Classrooms, Administration or an indoor sporting event, at the next light continue straight into the driveway of Germantown Academy. At the top of the hill, make a left or right, and at the end of the parking lot, make a right and park in one of the Visitor’s parking spaces. Coming from Route 309: From either the North or South, take the Fort Washington exit. Head straight to the end (the road winds around to the right) and you will be on Pennsylvania Ave. Stay in the left lane and make a left onto Bethlehem Pike. Make a right at the next light onto the Lafayette Ave. Connector. If you are going to Admission, Classrooms, Administration or an indoor sporting event, at the next light continue straight into the driveway of Germantown Academy. At the top of the hill, make a left or right and at the end of the parking lot, make a right and park in one of the Visitor’s parking spaces. Coming east on Rt. 73 (Skippack Pike): From Skippack Pike, make a left onto Lafayette Ave. Follow that road and make a left into the driveway at the next traffic light. If you are going to Admission, Classrooms, Administration or an indoor sporting event, at the top of the hill, make a left or right, and at the end of the parking lot, make a right and park in one of the Visitor’s parking spaces. The main building is located directly across from the lot. If you are going to the Arts Center or the playing fields, go straight through the traffic light (street becomes Morris Road). The second driveway on the left is for the Arts Center. The parking lot for the Patriots’ athletic fields can be found on the left side after crossing the small bridge.

Coming west on Rt. 73 (Church Road): Take 73 west to Bethlehem Pike. Make a right onto Bethlehem Pike, at the next light go left to continue on 73 west. At the next traffic light (Lafayette Ave.), make a right. Follow that road and make a left into the GA driveway at the next traffic light. If you are going to Admission, Classrooms, Administration or an indoor sporting event, at the top of the hill, make a left or right and at the end of the parking lot, make a right and park in one of the Visitor’s parking spaces. The main building is located directly across from the lot. If you are going to the Arts Center or the playing fields, go straight through the traffic light (street becomes Morris Road). The second driveway on the left is for the Arts Center. The parking lot for the Patriots’ athletic fields can be found on the left side after crossing the small bridge.

Public Transportation: Germantown Academy is easily accessible by SEPTA’s regional rail line (R5) at the Fort Washington train station. Once exiting the train station, make your way up the steps to Bethlehem Pike. Use the crosswalk to cross the street and head down the steps between the two buildings. Cross over Morris Road and you will be directly on GA’s property. Septa’s bus route 94 also has a stop next to the crosswalk on Bethlehem Pike.
